I'm the proud owner of a fondue set here in Wisconsin, where the cheese is far better than I expected, and fondue never fades from fashion. Truly, it's one of the sillier and most exasperating aspects of 21st century foodie culture that any good food is ever deemed too untrendy to eat!

I don’t have a fondue set (always looking out for them in charity shops) but love a good fondue! Also love drinking Apremont with it, which was recommended by a friend in Chamonix - yummy combo!

We have a fondue most years on NYE. This year we were half way through eating when my caquelon dramatically cracked in half. My aunt has come to the rescue by sending me the family fondue set all the way from Australia (that poor thing has crossed the equator more times than I have) so I need to redeem the New Year's fondue while the weather is still cold.

Swiss lore has it that if you have anything other than white wine or camomile tea with your fondue, the cheese will be indigestible. So there's still an option for anyone dry January-ing!

I really need to experience fondue one day. I know I'm missing out.

Love fondue! Subject my friends to it at least once a year!
