As luck would have it a recent visit to the mother in law in Stirling found me in Wood winters excellent Bridge of Allan independent wine shop where I purchased for £9.50
Araldica Brachetto d’Acqui 2023
5.5% abv
Very light,much sweeter than the mother in law with 100g residual sugar per litre, but intriguing.I wrote would be sensational with Elon mess and realised it was a typo for Eton Mess,but nevertheless still accurate.
Much more authentic than many sadly dealcholised efforts.
Thanks Fiona, I spotted a Pinot Nero pink sparkly in Lidl here in Italy, for the princely sum of €2.09 , yes, €2.09!!!! Per bottle.... It seemed rude not to 😜 I'm not sure yet what it will go with, but I'm thinking the Columba for sure and possibly a hot cross bun too, (home made with cranberries and raisins and candied cidre).

Like the sound of your hot X buns, Lucy! I'd try it with milk chocolate too ...
Great tip, thanks Fiona and Happy Easter 🐣
Hi Fiona;
What about a wine to go with TURR? I wanted an Italian but my wife chose a Malbec!
Nice and useful. 👏🏻👏🏻
