The Friday 5 #94
The latest bargains from the Wine Society, two special places to book for a treat and my new 10 minute, 3 ingredient pasta!
WELL! I didn’t expect that! I know everyone loves a special offer but still …
Thanks to everyone who signed up on this week’s anniversary offer and those of you who have been with me for a while I now have just under 500 paid subscribers which is incredible. Thankyou, thankyou!
For those of you who are new to all of this you now have access to The Friday 5, my insider’s weekly food and wine tips which this week includes my pick of the recent Wine Society tasting, a couple of GREAT places to book for a special treat and my new go-to quick lunch: a 10 minute, 3 ingredient pasta!
Plus you can go in for our cookbook giveaways, take advantage of the discounts on some my favourite products (details below) and take part in our monthly, online tastings.
The next one is in just under 2 weeks at 6.30 on April 18th and is on the subject of aperitifs or aperitivos. I’m thinking drinks that are designed as an aperitif like vermouth or bitters like Campari but bring whatever you fancy.
It’s going to be particularly useful though because I’ve invited along the queen of aperitivos, my pal Kate Hawkings, who has actually written a book on the subject so if you’re reading this and are not yet a paid subscriber do sign up if you want to come along. You can join for just a fiver!
I’ll be sending out more suggestions nearer the time but you could always buy Kate’s book in the meantime 😉
What to buy from the Wine Society right now
Amazingly the Wine Society still manages to do more than drinkable wines for under a tenner but their sweet spot for value, I think, is between £12.95-14.95.
