The food, wine and hotel highlights of my recent road trip (+ my pick of Lidl’s latest offer)
If you follow me on instagram you’ll have seen I was cavorting around Kent last week with my pal, photographer Georgia Glynn Smith, the first stop being a visit to Deal to hang out with the brilliant young food writer Rosie Birkett.
As I explained in the post I uploaded yesterday, we came up with the idea of doing a joint tasting of the sparkling wine of the moment, pet nat, with a selection of snacks devised by Rosie and my goodness, it was fun! (Rosie has just posted the recipes for her subscribers if you want to know how to make her clever (and economical) take on lobster rolls)
We also stayed in a couple of great places and tasted some amazing wines but even if you can’t get to Kent there are some ideas worth adopting at home
