The Friday 5 #140
8 great wine buys under £10 from Sainsbury’s, my favourite fish restaurants + how to make a cut price alcohol-free G & T
Well my son Will and I certainly struck a chord this week with our post on the cost of eating out. Thank you all for your thoughtful and interesting comments. It’s well worth reading those too.
Talking of saving money many of the supermarkets still have half term/bank holiday offers so stock up before they expire. Paid subscribers should still have my Waitrose recs lurking somewhere in their inbox and here are 8 wines under £10 from Sainsbury’s which you’ll need to snap up by end of play tomorrow.
If you’re not a paid subscriber do take advantage of the 33% discount on annual subscriptions this weekend to get these moneysaving recs. Which I forgot to mention yesterday is a ‘forever’ discount. I.e. if you sign up on this deal you will only ever have to pay that price when you renew. At £2.33 a month I think that’s a pretty good deal.
What else this week? Why fish restaurants may be the best kind of restaurant, an addictive potato salad plus a home-made syrup that will enable you to make your own alcohol-free G & Ts far cheaper than the ready made versions.
It’s all about bargains at the moment! Here are the Sainsbury’s ones for a start.
