we live part of the year near Union Hall ( there's a terrific fish shop in the village) In Glandore nearby there's Hayes Bar which has a terrific view over the bay back to Union Hall and outdoor seating - they laughingly call it Costa Del Glandore on a good day. In Clonakilty there's An Sugan for dinner and Scannells for a pub lunch with one of the best fish chowder's in the country. The Dunmore House Hotel has also a great restaurant near Clonakilty. West Cork Farmer's Market in Skibbereen has great food stalls and food vendors - every Sat morning. Enjoy Dingle - I hope the ring of Kerry traffic isn't too brutal.
Oh, this all sounds wonderful. We passed through Skibbereen on our way to Kenmare and visited the Heritage Centre (a sobering experience). It's a tragic story well told. The emphasis on this trip has been more the west coast than the south west but would love to head that way next time

💚Madly in love with Ireland. I arrived July 19, 2021 the very day it reopened from lockdown to vaccinated tourists. Few restaurants had reopened and those that were only served outside, but by the time I got to Dingle had a memorable late lunch at Out of the Blue. And the week Ballymaloe reopened, OMG. Everyone was so welcoming and happy to see guests after a long 16 months.

Can I recommend a seaweed bath at Enniscrone if you are passing through there ?
Would definitely have beeen up for that but not going that far up!
If you go further north on the west coast you should treat yourselves to a meal at The Courthouse in Kinlough.
