Good news all round! Win an Instant Pot multi-cooker and air-fryer …
… and a date for my next online wine tasting …
I said the other day I had a great prize up my sleeve and it’s finally come off thanks to the generosity of Instant Pot UK who have offered their top of the range multi-cooker - the Duo Crisp with Ultimate Lid Multi-Cooker and Air Fryer as a giveaway.
With an incredible 13 functions it can air fry, grill, roast, pressure cook, steam, sauté, sous vide, dehydrate, make yoghurt, prove bread, and wash up at the same time (not really, I made that bit up). Plus because it uses virtually no oil it’s a healthier way of cooking too.
Anyway if you’d like to be in with a chance of winning it (and I imagine you would) click here to find out how to enter.
What else is on matchingfoodandwine.com this month?
If you’re eating asparagus day after day (me too) you might wonder what wine should be drinking with it. Here are my favourite pairings
Salmon’s good at this time of year as well but did you know you could drink red wine with it? Indeed you can. (This is one of my readers’ favourite posts)
Herbs are at their best now too but how do they affect your wine pairing? The answer’s here
And with the coronation coming up you might want to know what to drink with Coronation chicken!
My next bring a bottle night
There was a great response to my first ETDT (Eat This, Drink That) Bring a Bottle wine night so I’m pleased to let you know I’ve fixed a date for the next one which is going to be on GREEK WHITES*.
I do realise that some of you might find it difficult to get hold of one but having been to Greece twice recently (I know, I know) I’m dying to share what I’ve learnt about them.
Just to remind you, the idea is to hang out and chat on Zoom about a particular type or style of wine. I introduce the bottle I’ve brought then ask everyone else what they’re drinking and what they think of it. You don’t have to be an expert to take part but it is a special perk for paid subscribers so if you’re not one already and would like to come along sign up below.
The time and date I’ve picked is 6.30-7.45pm GMT on Sunday May 14th which I hope works for those of you who are in different time zones.
If you’d like to join me can you let me know asap as I’ve learnt from the first session I need to limit the numbers to ensure everyone gets a chance to chip in. We had 16 last time and that was just about right though I’m extending the session by an extra quarter of an hour to make sure that happens.
Email me at fiona AT matchingfoodandwine DOT com with Greek White Night in the subject line if you’d like to join in - I’ll be sending out some suggestions to those of you who have signed up next week about the sort of wines you might like to bring along.
After that we’ll do rosé in June and (by popular request) sparkling wine in July. Dates tbc.
*Why white? They drink more white then red, especially on Santorini.
Looking forward to May. Let’s hope it warms up soon!
